Singing is all the same, isn't it? Or are different styles completely different from each other? Join ANATS Qld as we investigate the similarities and differences between CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) singing and Western Classical singing. Our expert presenters will provide insight into teaching both styles via a short lecture, and demonstrate their teaching approach with our masterclass singers in a live teaching demonstration. Each masterclass singer will sing in both a Classical and a CCM style, so that you can be a Fly On The Wall to the process of learning to move between styles. Highly respected pedagogues Dr Irene Bartlett and Shelli Hulcombe are ready to share their teaching tools and strategies for teaching crossover to help you and your students to develop a deeper understanding of both CCM and Classical singing. Whether you are classically trained, CCM trained, or have experience in a variety of styles, this is a professional development opportunity not to be missed. Sunday 4th June. 12:15pm arrival for a 12:30pm start. (Live stream will start at 12:30pm). Event will conclude at 3:30pm. Event recording will be made available to all registrants for one month after the event.
